Serving our clients with excellence, efficiency and a culture-focused process to ensure a lasting legacy

Legacy Veterinary Advisors was started with a goal of providing a higher standard of service and a more efficient process than what is currently offered in the veterinary industry. Most business brokers do not provide the necessary documents, financial calculations or key details buyers need to make their best offer. This leads to a lot of back-and-forth communication that ultimately slows down the process and can result in a lower purchase price if key financial information is missing.

Legacy Veterinary Advisors is also home to the only culture-focused selling process available. The culture-fit aspect of a practice sale is neglected by most other brokers and can lead to some terrible outcomes after a sale. We ensure culture-fit is the focus from the start of our process.

With our focus on efficiency and culture-fit, we are raising the bar with our unmatched level of service.”

About Legacy Veterinary Advisors

Having worked on $250 million in veterinary practice acquisitions from the buyer’s perspective, we know exactly what is needed to make the selling process easy and efficient. We’ll gather everything needed up front, perform our own valuation analysis and put together a complete package for buyers to review. The result? Little to no questions and a strong, confident offer from a buyer in weeks instead of months.

About Legacy Veterinary Advisors

Zach Pittman

Zach Pittman

Founder & CEO

Zach Pittman was a Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst for Southern Veterinary Partners and worked on $250 million in veterinary practice acquisitions during his time there. He gathered documents, performed practice valuations, prepared investment presentations, and created offer letters for each one of his deals. He also had the opportunity to participate in the meetings where the C-Suite discussed potential acquisitions and made their offer decisions. This unique experience not only gave him a strong understanding of the selling process, but also insight on what truly drives the value of a practice to buyers.

Prior to his time at Southern Veterinary Partners, Zach was a Credit Analyst & Portfolio Manager at Regions Bank. He worked in two highly specialized areas of lending, SBA and Government & Nonprofit. He performed credit analysis, created loan approval packages and managed a portfolio of clients. This experience helped him become very familiar with business analysis and the lending process.

Client Testimonials

We are proud to serve our clients with excellence and efficiency. Our goal is to provide the best experience possible for our clients.

Zach gave me and my veterinary clinic individual attention. He helped me to present my clinic in an efficient manner to several corporate partners and then helped set up interviews and compare them. We decided what fit I wanted and received several LOI’s which Zach then helped me renegotiate to come to the best offer from my preferred corporate partner. All done in a speedy manner of 2 months. I am very happy with the stellar service and attention Legacy Veterinary Advisers gave me.

What a great experience! We’ve tried to accomplish the sales process on our own in the past, and decided to bite the bullet and use a broker. Zach made the whole process so easy! He was attentive throughout the process and made sure that we were comfortable with every step. I would highly recommend Legacy Veterinary Advisors to assist in finding you the best possible culture fit for your practice!

It was a pleasure to work with Zach at Legacy Vet Advisors. He goes the extra mile to put a polish on your practice to present it to its fullest potential for prospective buyers. Dr. Deborah Peale

Hayden Pet Medical Center

The best decision I made approaching the potential sale of my veterinary small animal practice was engaging Zach Pittman of Legacy Veterinary advisors. A number of my classmates and colleagues have walked through this process on their own and all felt overwhelmed, ultimately believing they had left money on the table. I had intended to interview several brokers, but after my first conversation with Zach, I knew he was the right person to shepherd me through the process. My first and foremost charge to him was to take care of my staff. From start to finish, Zach stayed true to his commitment of finding the best fit for my staff and our unique practice culture. At the same time, he developed a financial goal that was well above what I anticipated and then proceeded to make it reality. All of the corporate entities we met were genuine in their interest and would have been at least a good fit. My practice is now in the corporate fold with an outstanding company that my staff, my wife and I feel is the very best place we could have landed. Zach walked me through the difficulties I encountered, always remaining positive and focused the goals we had set. I heartily recommend Zach Pittman and Legacy Veterinary Advisors if you are looking for outstanding broker guidance and services in selling your veterinary practice.

W. Gordon Smyth, D.V.M.

Arlington Veterinary Center

I had considered working with a few other brokers when I was ready to sell my two practices. Zach was recommended to me by one of my classmates. It is a daunting process to go through. From determining the value of practices to getting the necessary documents and reports, reaching out to potential buyers, setting up interviews both online and in person, reviewing and negotiating offers, determining the best fit for my practices – Zach was instrumental in guiding me through the process. I was very happy with his services and highly recommend him.

Dr. Ernest Compton

Crossroad Animal Hospital & Village Crossroad Animal Hospital

Zach was instrumental in helping me evaluate, market, and eventually sell my veterinary practice. Zach was very thorough and honest in my practice evaluation and based on my practice culture, facilitated meetings with like-minded groups. I feel confident that these introductions allowed me to partner with the best possible group that would take care of my staff and continue the practice legacy.”

Dr. Doug Ruff

Hahira Veterinary Clinic

In spite of my reluctance to use a broker regarding the sale of my practice, looking back I see that there was absolutely no way I could have gone through this process without the help of Legacy Veterinary Advisors. Zach was so helpful from the very beginning of gathering our financials to presenting my company to prospective buyers. Then, most importantly helping me navigate between different companies, guiding us through everything from interviews, what to expect, to especially contract negotiations. He also guided me to legal counsel to help navigate the contract documents. I can’t thank him enough or recommend him more highly. It was a great overall experience.

Dr. John Warner

This company exceeded my expectations! Zach is worth his weight in gold as he helped me navigate the many questions I had and helped me make the right decisions for me! He always had my best interest in mind and he knows the ins and outs of vet practices! Whether you’re exploring how to leave your legacy or just wondering how to make your practice more valuable, I highly recommend Zach! To top it off, he’s honest and open and a great value for the money! Definitely worth a phone call to discuss your goals!
